Course Repeats. You will be allowed a maximum of 16 units of "Grade Forgiveness" (formerly known as "Academic Renewal") during your college career. Additionally, you will be limited to a maximum of 9 units of lower division coursework and a maximum of 9 units of upper division coursework (with the total never to exceed 16 units). The process of Grade Forgiveness is automatic. If you received a grade of C- or less in a course and sign up to take it again, PeopleSoft or MySJSU will automatically count the units of the course towards the 16 units you are allowed. Grade Forgiveness can be applied only once to any individual course (this is the same as existing Academic Renewal policy). Remember to understand Grade Forgiveness or to find out the new rules on Incompletes or Withdrawals go to the Advising Hub
