Early programming on KSJS consisted of a combination of locally produced music, news, and sports, and canned programming from the National Association of Educational Broadcasters. The Journalism Department produced a Daily Newscast |

Due to interference with the 90.7 station at Berkeley, KSJS-FM changed its broadcasting channel from 90.7 to 90.5 in 1992. In 2000, the directional antenna and power increase was approved. In 2002 a new Wheatstone master control board was installed, making the station audio chain mostly digital. After 40 years, KSJS-FM remains in the department of TV-Radio-Film-Theatre |
